About the Organizers
Mr. Jim Fuller, General Manager
Jim is an agricultural scientist, internationally regarded as an expert in growing exotic mushrooms. He recently spoke by invitation at The International Mushroom Machinery and Technology Conference in China during 2014 and again this year at the 2018 China International Mushroom New Products and Technology Expo in Sanmenxia city, Henan province. Later in July Jim trained in growing morels by the method of Zhu Duoshi and later trained with a new technology produced by San Dian Shui Biotech, and learned the method to use local wild morels to obtain the highest yields that can currently be achieved.
Jim discovered his passion for mushrooms while working as a chef in Texas. Working as a chef has given Jim valuable insight to the food service industry and a unique perspective of consumer attitudes when it comes to selling mushrooms.
Jim has over 10 years experience in the mushroom industry and is an integral asset of this business. His experience in growing commercial quantities of exotic mushrooms was gained through working as the spawn supervisor at Gourmet Mushrooms Inc. - The USA’s largest exotic mushroom grower.
Jim’s expertise is well recognised around Australia with Costa group employing him as their spawn laboratory team leader, where he worked for 3 years.
In December 2013 Jim joined GRAMCO wholesale as general manager and lead salesmen. He was integral to GRAMCO’s sales recovery following the loss of a key supplier. Jim and Wes teamwork have increased GRAMCO wholesale sales by 40% during this period.
